Pay attention, Fox
Seriously, how do you go from This to THIS so friggin fast.
Reverse the order of the pics, and the answer is “Photoshop”.
It’s on a bad night, and I didn’t even know the new season started for this. maybe I’ll spend the weekend getting caught up. What say you? Is it worth my time or not?
The season has been up and down. I LOVED the first ep, was a bit bored by the second and ended up really enjoying the third due to the clever scripting and of course Glau’s acting.

JimK: I HATE FOX. I hate them so much. Joss Whedon told us that the new team at Fox Television wasn’t like the old team, but they are holding his balls and squeezing on Dollhouse, so I no longer trust him. Fox is, allegedly, buzzing about canceling T:SCC because the ratings are down to 5.5 million per ep.
HOW CAN YOU NOT MAKE MONEY ON 5.5 MILLION VIEWERS? What the hell? The budget on that show is not out of line with the budgets for cable network shows, and they do backflips if they get 2 million viewers! Also, all ratings are down for everything across the board. So relax. Asses.
The show - or any show - is not going to get better and find a voice if you keep threatening to cancel it every five seconds, and never give it time to develop and find an audience. I swear to GOD this current incarnation of Fox TV would have canceled the X-Files after the first half season when it did pretty poorly in the ratings.
I HATE FOX. But I want to help. Dear Fox, MOVE THE DAMN SHOW BEFORE YOU CANCEL IT. TRY ANY OTHER NIGHT BUT MONDAY, SO IT DOESN’T HAVE TO COMPETE WITH CHUCK AND DUMB REALITY DANCING JUGGERNAUTS PLUS FOOTBALL, YOU IDIOTS.
Last week’s episode was great IMHO. I know it’s not getting love from other reviewers on the great and wide webernets, but Summer Glau can act her cute little face off when given the right material and that was all about her.
SPOILER WARNING! SPOILER WARNING!
Plus I love the twist of the memories not really coming from Allison after all, but rather Cameron’s possible bleed-through of a personality imprint and her memory of the interrogation of Allison. The episode was kind of dragging a bit for me story-wise until the last segment when it all came together brilliantly. The Cameron storyline I mean. I could not care less about preggo real estate girl and her cop baby daddy. That whole thing should have been cut in favor of alternating between Cameron in the present thinking she’s Allison, John looking for her and flashbacks to the future.
SPOILERS OVER.
My point is the show is starting to show some depth, and if they can recapture the frenetic action of the season 2 opener, things could really get interesting, but DAMN YOU FOX YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM TIME. And make the producers fire Shirley Manson or re-tool her character. They are asking WAY too much of a first time actress to moderate her accent every moment while speaking elaborate, complex and unnatural sentences and expecting her to be cold-yet-sultry while doing it. Experienced actors would have trouble with this. The writers are asking her to do what Hugh Laurie wins statues for doing and she’s never acted before. Let the accent fly…let her be Scottish as hell and maybe they’ll will get some good emotional connection out of her. If you care. Or is it easier just to cancel the hwole thing and invest millions into yet another show you will cancel immediately?
I swear to GOD I’m going to boycott all new shows on that network for all frigging time. How can one company screw up so often and never, ever learn their lesson?
