Two very different Bones episodes
My oldest is heavily into pirates and the Depp movies so this sounds like a place she would like. Too bad we’re in Chicago…and (like i always tell her) too bad that ninjas>pirates…..

Gerbera Tetra: The Cat Girl and the Red Robot go see some dinner theater!
Have you ever been to Medieval Times? Pirate’s Dinner Adventure is the same basic idea.
There are some big differences. We went and called ahead; which got us in at half off for paying ahead of time. Also the waiting area is smaller. No museum and no horses to see. But the show actually starts earlier with some action and singing outside in the bar area. In addition the crew serves little munchies like veggies and dressing, cheese and cold meat chunks and so on. Really good for a free add on.
The show trades acrobatic skill for horsemanship and this has several benefits. The venue is closer in. The ‘starter show’ that introduces the overall premise actually has some acrobatics right over the bar area. Once inside you are treated to an awesome Pirate ship set. All of it is rigged for swinging, dancing and acrobatics of a modest but intimate scale. You really get close to the action and many audience members get to become part of the show. I was part of the opening having been corralled for a bit of all male can can dancing. The red robot is glad he’s already red. Later the Cat Girl was part of a contest between the color coded pirates for ‘first mate’. Several audience member were part of a pirate swearing in and so on. There was just a little less of the fight scenes but in several scenes were were treated to a young lady ‘gypsy’ and one of the pirates who performed some really good high flying acts mid stage. There was also a little bit of pyrotechnics and splashing. All in all the show was as good if not better than the MT one.
On the dinner angle things were also better. I don’t know about the California location of MT but in Dallas their a bit stingy with the drinks and the food was ok. Here the food was much better and they gave us a pitcher of soda and refilled it at our request. We got an ok salad, a choice of chicken and beef [neither of us chose that] or chicken and shrimp and scallops [very good on the seafood]. Desert was a bit of apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream. In addition after dessert I got a cup of coffee as well. The whole thing cost us as much as we’d have paid at MT [or half for paying in advance] and we had a much better time.
