Rann:  Yup, time for another “awesome stuff from YouTube” post. Why? Because the site’s been a little quiet lately, without much more than Donna’s awesome SYTYCD posts and my occasional insomniac ramblings. So you get some wacky music stuff.

MAD videos are strange remixes and mashups featuring sometimes extremely disparate mediums. Stuff you’d never think would go together somehow melds perfectly, and no, this isn’t like the Transformers and Lucky Star fusion, it’s a little more… well, musical. I found the first two of these via Sankaku Complex, and it inspired the post. (Note, site’s not very worksafe.)

Now, I actually spent some time looking for a decent Linkin Park mashup. Yeah, I know, for most people “decent” and “Linkin Park” never belong in the same sentence. But I found one that actually works pretty well, and makes me think that if these two bands actually got together, they could make something fairly epic, on the scale of Metallica’s full orchestral pieces.
