JimK:  Hey, why did none of you tell me they were remaking Footloose? And that Zach Efron was gonna be the lead but now it’s probably Chace Crawford which is not better? Or worse, really, it’s an equal level of “Oh my God what the fuck?”  And also no one told me that that Hayden Panty-airs wants the female lead.

‘the fuck? THE FUCK. WHY WHY WHY? Shouldn’t there be a law that says Kevin Bacon can stop this? Some sort of amendment to the Constitution or something?

I wonder if there was an internet in the 50s, would we have seen posts like this one every ten years or so?  I imagine so. Still.  STOP IT, HOLLYWOOD.

Didn’t tell ya cause Footloose was before my time.

If it makes you feel better though, They’re raping my childhood by remaking Drop Dead Fred with Russell Fucking Brand taking over for Rik Mayall.

Fuck you Hollywood. Again.

I remember Drop Dead Fred.  It was an ok movie, I can’t see why they would want to remake it though.  Also Remaking footloose is incredibly dumb.  Hollywood is out of ideas.

So Jim when are you going to see Wolverine?

What the fuck? Why would you remake Drop Dead Fred? I don’t remember it being some giant runaway hit that has become a classic in the several years since it first came out.

If that’s true, remake fever really has gotten completely ridiculous and indefensible.

Was not the biggest fan of Footloose, but understand the outrage. Now when they start talking about remaking Road House, then that is a different story. They made a sequel where Dalton’s son was a DEA agent and Dalton was shot to death (read the synopsis on IMDB), so that was bad enough.

Sounds exactly like the plot of Kickboxer 2. Except JCVD had a younger brother, not a son.

Not even sure. Soon?  Maybe? I’m finding it hard to get motivated to actually do it based on the 77645 billion bad reviews. I mean *some* bad reviews is one thing, but gods-fracking damn it seems like everyone hates this thing.

Eh, I thought it was ok.  Nothing mindblowing you know.  Certainly better than the third X-men movie.

My Wolverine review: Not as good as Iron Man. Almost as good as Hulk. Better than X3.

Hope that helps.
