Hell yeah! I’ve been making do with a video rip soundtrack. Now I can buy one that sounds ten times better!

Criminy, this will be the first time I’ve bought music since Weird Al’s last album.

Oh, and if anyone is worried about it being on iTunes, the tracks are iTunes Plus, which means 256kbps AAC and no DRM. They’ll go onto anything that can play AAC and can be transcoded to any other codec. Damned good quality to boot. Good on ya, Joss!

Yes!! Now when the Freeze Ray song finally gets out of my head, I can reload it back in.

Here’s the thing. Yes, Dr. Horrible is awesome: well acted, great script, and damn hummable tunes, but would it have been this big a hit if it weren’t Joss Whedon? I can see it becoming a great internet video passed around, but this cultural phenom that it has become? Everyone keeps talking about how this is the new direction for the Internet and Hollywood, but I really don’t think that’s true for just anyone who is not already a geek god.

Of course this coming from a man who definitely bows at the alter of Whedon. And now our Queen of Geeks, Felicia Day.
