I’ll try to make it tonight, but I’m deathly ill.  Around 4 o’clock today I started coughing and couldn’t stop.  Half a bottle of DayQuil later and things are starting to clear up.  At least I don’t feel like I’m drowning anymore.  Between the Q and the rum I might not be conscious for the live blog.

DUDE. I’m so with you. My fever is nearing 103, my head is killing me and I’m too weak to do more than walk from one room to the next. The flu sucks hog balls.

I also liked the fact that we got to see the looks of two guys who knew they were fucked, within about three minutes of each other:  first Gaeta, then Tyrol.

Anybody have any idea what the hell Tyrol was freaked about? I mean, Yeah it’s a hole and it’s venting something but… Isn’t that what repair crews are for?

My guess, Whatever it is it means that their FTL is going to be offline for a while. Which means that they’re sitting ducks and can’t leave the vicinity of Earth.

The only problem with that is that Galactica is supposed to have a redundant FTL system. Either A. The writers will ignore what they’ve already written or B. I’m mistaken.

Was kinda Hoping Gaeta would have the balls to draw his gun, kill Zarek, then himself.  BTW, anyone else notice the little tones of the song he sang while in the med bay after losing his leg, when Adama faced him in the bridge when it was all over?  McCreary has become a hell of a soundtrack author doing this show.

About the tear Tyrol saw.. wonder if it might turn out to be some kind of “if we hadn’t noticed this now, we’d have blown up eventually, so the actions that led to this actually saved us,” kind of thing.

Yeah, I’m thinking if they’d actually used the FTL system whatever was venting into the area would’ve caused some sort of huge problem.

After watching it again, I can’t really tell what Tyrol’s face is saying. It could be either “Holy frak, We almost just blew up the whole ship!” or “Holy frak, The whole ship is going to blow up!”

After watching it a couple more times I think he says, “oh no…” when he notices it. Maybe it’s both? They would’ve blown up for sure but now it’s still going down, they’ve just got time to evacuate?

I didn’t take it as something venting into the area, but as atmosphere venting out of the area.  Tyrol was showing signs of oxygen deprivation.  I don’t know that it’s a danger to the whole ship, but it looks like an issue for Tyrol.

I wonder if its something that’s eating away at the metal of the ship.
